About the Organization

Toronto Humane Society (THS) is a non-for profit organization that strives to uphold the human animal bond by removing barriers to pet care. By working in partnership with the community, Toronto Humane Society provides subsidized spay/neuter and vaccination services, facilitates a pet food bank, offers training classes, and delivers equitable veterinary care to remote Northern communities. The THS operates as an independent not-for-profit organization supported by an infrastructure of strategic partnerships and alliances, and individual and corporate donations. The THS does not receive government funding.

Background

Social media provides an affordable platform for Toronto Humane Society to educate the public, market the various programs and services, and increase participation in vital fundraising initiatives. With a limited staff and budget, social media historically has not been utilized strategically. Toronto Humane Society is currently undergoing a new branding initiative and a streamlined Social Media strategy will help launch the new brand most effectively.
