Help our research team conduct outreach and primary research with Francophone-speaking stakeholders
Pathways to Education is a national charitable organization breaking the cycle of poverty through education. Its award -winning program is creating positive social change by supporting youth living in low -income communities to overcome barriers to education, graduate from high school, and build the foundation for a successful future. Through the collective power of partnerships, Pathways to Education’s innovative program is preparing youth for tomorrow.
Pathways to Education Canada is building a national volunteer engagement strategy. A key set of volunteer engagement stakeholders are Pathways Program Partners: organizations who deliver the Pathways Program across Canada. It is important for Pathways Canada to inform the volunteer engagement strategy through Program Partner environmental scans. There are currently four Francophone Pathways Program Partners, and it is important to gather information and feedback from these Program Partners. Our current researcher has upper intermediate proficiency in French comprehension and elementary proficiency in spoken French. You will use your French communications skills to support our researcher in enabling outreach and primary research gathering (interviews and surveys) with Francophone stakeholders.
Research objectives are communicated in French to build an environment of trust with Francophone Program location employees and volunteers before, during, and after interview/ survey implementation
Mutual understanding through translation of dialogue during interviews with stakeholders to foster relationship building and trust
Accurate translations to ensure the understanding of nuances around the French language that may impact research outcomes
French communications that aligns with Pathways brand guidelines (e.g. Francophone Program location employees and volunteers participating in research)
This will help us understand the current practices, successes, and challenges around volunteer engagement to build a comprehensive volunteer engagement strategy.
