Wordpress Website Redesign

Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta has a mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. They deliver life-changing programs that are preventative, comprehensive, transformational and evidence-based. They strive to equip girls to achieve academically; lead healthy and physically active lives; manage money; navigate media messages; and discover an interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.

The project is in partnership with The Prosperity Project (https://canadianprosperityproject.ca/) which connects professionals with non-profit organizations that focus on serving women (skills development, training, employment pathways, crisis counselling and mental and physical health). Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta is looking to upgrade their WordPress website to align with the Organization’s Headquarters standards (requires technical coding knowledge). As part of the project, the volunteer would provide training for Charity staff to learn how to upload relevant information and to maintain the website once the Volunteer’s term has ended, as well as review the existing website manual to add/remove information that may help/hinder the Charity staff from managing the website.

Efficient resource allocation has become more critical than ever admist the financial/economic uncertainty experienced under the COVID-19. We are hoping to work with your volunteer(s) to ensure that our limited resources are allocated efficiently and effectively so that our programming remains cost and barrier free for all girls
