Help us design a social media strategy to propel our efforts in helping women who have fled trauma or abuse
The 482 Collective supports individuals who are bravely struggling to make ends meet after experiencing trauma or abuse. They support women, children and individuals from marginalized communities who have fled intimate partner violence, sexual assault, physical/emotional abuse, human trafficking, poverty, and homelessness. They recognize the enormous courage it takes to acknowledge an abusive situation, make the decision to leave, and ask for help. Their goal is to alleviate some of the burden caused by repeated trauma, so their clients can think clearly, heal, and begin to rebuild their lives. They do this by taking the time to listen closely to what the individuals need, not what they think the individuals need.
The project is in partnership with The Prosperity Project (https://canadianprosperityproject.ca/) which connects professionals with non-profit organizations that focus on serving women (skills development, training, employment pathways, crisis counselling and mental and physical health). The 482 Collective is a grass roots organization founded in 2020 and based in Toronto. They are actively re-imagining how we help people who are bravely struggling to make ends meet after fleeing violence and abuse. The social media strategy would be developed in collaboration with the leadership team and would look to optimize engagement across a diverse audience and different platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and potentially Google My Business). As part of the planning process, the volunteer would: understand the analytics and provide a performance evaluation of the content in order to build and expand the online community, identify current and relevant trends, design tools and applications, and identify organizations, community partners, or individuals who may be well-suited for collaboration or cross-promotion. Once implemented, the content creation, caption creation, and content scheduling will be executed by different team members/volunteers.
Actionable strategic plan that increases audience engagement on our platform
This work will allow us to build our social media footprint for The 482 Collective, which in turn will help us drive: Engagement with our posts and content, traffic to our website, leads for volunteer openings, and donations
