Melissa is the Co-Founder of 10,000 Hours. She is passionate about seeing Canadian non-profits thrive in the digital-first age, and started 10,000 Hours as a way for non-profits to unlock top tier digital, technical, and analytical talent. Her expertise is in corporate strategy & business development, which stems from a career as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman and further honed through her experience at technology start-up Element AI. She currently works as the Vice President of Partnerships at Flashfood, a high-growth Canadian tech company focused on ensuring no good food goes to waste. Melissa is a board member of the Heart & Stroke Ontario Advisory Board.
Luc is the Co-Founder of 10,000 Hours. He has spent his career in the startup / tech space specializing in product and marketing. Luc is passionate about making volunteerism easier. He believes that centering volunteer projects around tangible outcomes and remote/flexible hours is one way to unlock the potential of skilled volunteers that are seeking opportunities to make an impact in the non-profit space.
Maddie is the Head of Corporate and Non-profit Development at 10,000 Hours. She has extensive experience working in the non-profit sector in volunteer management and corporate citizenship. From leading youth volunteers through the jungles of Peru to enhancing employee engagement program strategies, she brings diverse experience and a friendly smile. Maddie is a designated CVA, imbedding best practices into her work along with a passion for leveraging the power of volunteerism in her community and beyond.
Rachel is the Head of Volunteer Operations at 10,000 Hours. Her experience in R&D and Channel Management at 3M allows her to bring a unique perspective, always accompanied with a positive outlook and warm cup of coffee. She has been an advocate for Canadian non-profits throughout her personal and professional life and is passionate about helping others find volunteer opportunities to positively impact their communities.
